Accessibility and Disability

The La Belle Époque Museum wishes to offer all its visitors a pleasant and enriching experience. We are committed to making our spaces as accessible as possible, taking into account the architectural constraints of the building. Here is the necessary information to help you organize your visit with peace of mind.

Museum Access

  • Main Entrance for Persons with Reduced Mobility:
The museum entrance is through the main gate, which allows access for wheelchair users. However, due to the building's layout, some parts of the museum remain inaccessible.

  • Turnstile with Step:
The entrance is through a turnstile, and there is a small step. This feature may make access difficult for persons with reduced mobility. We encourage you to contact us in advance if you need assistance to pass this point.

  • Parking:
Parking spaces are available in front of the museum, although they are not specifically reserved for persons with disabilities. Additionally, there is a small parking lot with 10 spaces just behind the museum, on the adjacent street, which can be a convenient option for parking nearby.

Circulation Inside

  • Partial Accessibility :
Some parts of the museum are accessible to wheelchairs and individuals with walking difficulties. However, unfortunately, not all sections of the museum are fully accessible. We have done our best to make the main spaces open to as many visitors as possible.

  • Ramp for Basement Access :
It is possible to access the basement area via a ramp equipped with a handrail, allowing visitors to overcome the steps. However, please note that the absence of an elevator makes access to certain sections of the museum, particularly the upper floors, difficult or even impossible for wheelchair users.

Equipment and Services

  • No Specific Equipment at the Moment :
We currently do not have any special equipment such as audioguides or adapted materials (braille, easy-to-read and understand, etc.).

  • Canes with Tips :
Canes with tips are welcome for visitors who need them. If you have specific needs, please let us know your expectations when making your reservation.

  • Guide Dogs and Assistance Animals :
Guide dogs and assistance animals are allowed in the museum. We are committed to welcoming these animals and providing the necessary space to ensure your visit goes smoothly.
